Married to a IFB missionary, fulfilling my supreme call as Helpmeet and Mother, I strive to delight my Saviour in all that I do. May this blog be a blessing to you. I thank God for providing for my salvation through the sacrifice of His Son on Calvary. May you know this great Truth.
That is just toooooo sweet! Has Mancha had pups before? Our dog has never had pups and we had her fixed several months ago, but I think she would have been a wonderful mommy. :)
In asnwer to your question about SIGMA...You know how a lot of churches will have a program throughout the school year like Patch the Pirate or Awana's Club? Well, we have Patch the Pirate for our younger youth, but we have SIGMA for our teens. It's basically set up to divide the youth group into teams. We have two teams this year. They are allowed to choose their Greek name and their special colors. This year we have the Pi Gamma Knights and the Nu Delta Builders. Bruce and I and another couple are SIGMA sponsors, which means we're over a team and help on Wednesday nights by listening to verses, making sure the kids have done their devotions, seeing if they've worked in any Christian ministry or service for the week. They are given points for these things and other things like visitors, doing biography reports on great men of the faith and so forth. On Wednesday nights they are not missing out on a preaching service. Our Youth Pastor ALWAYS preaches to them. Bruce and I also help chaperone activities, which is what we were doing Saturday at the Monster Jam. Brother RJ (our youth pastor) will have a SIGMA banquet at the end of the SIGMA year (probably May) where he will give awards and trophies to the high scorers and teens that have showed Christian characters and they will find out what team won for the year. It's fun, but it's a lot of hard work on their part. And they are steeped in Bible. Which is what they need. We usually have activities twice a month so they have something to do to keep them busy. We do that all year though, not just during the school year. :) Sorry that was so long, but that's SIGMA. LOL
PS, Thanks Kristi about the info in Sigma. Keep up the good work! The teenage years are key. We lose so many to the world at this delicate time. Churches need more dedicated servants to help. Bless you!

One of my favorit Characteristics of GOd is that He cares about these "little" things.
How cute is that?
Ladies, it just doesn't get any cuter than that! I so glad that you are all in a class of people that can truly appreciate that!
