My new hobby

As you may know from previous posts, I am not a craft person. When I read this over at Boomama's I laughed until I cried. And I quote "I write a lot more than I used to, and it seems like between cooking and cleaning (don’t you even laugh, David. don’t you EVEN laugh), chasing Alex, working, blogging, wife-ing, etc., reading is the thing that gets pushed back farthest on the burner. (To clarify: reading has not been pushed back as far as, you know, crafts, but those were never really on the burner for me to begin with. Come to think of it, crafts were nowhere even remotely near the burner. In fact, I think that for me, at least, crafts are currently located somewhere just southeast of Idaho.)"
Yep, that's been my personal experience with crafts in my lifetime. However, God has seen fit to change that. God wants me to Scrapbook! How do I know this? Because someone I do not even know sent me, my mom and my sister and all our kids a whole bunch of Creative Memories scrapbook "stuff". I'm guessing several hundred dollar's worth. I got a type of briefcase and a big scrapbook and a Memory chest and square maker and a memory locker. I am pretty sure that most of you know what all this stuff is and is for. Its going to take me a while to process all of it!
So, Penny, Thank you! Who knows, maybe someday I'll even finish my kids baby books!

Oh, I love scrapbooking. My friend turned me on to it a few years ago. It's a lot of fun and hardword. But once you finish a book, it's so great to see others enjoy it.

I'm with you on crafts - I am incapable of making anything that looks remotely like it's supposed to! But I could (note past tense) sew, embroider, crochet, knit, cross stich when I was younger and had better eyesight, etc. I love what scrapbookers do, but don't think I could ever have the energy! I'm glad you have a chance to do it. I crack up at Boo Mama too!

Oh my! I have photos galore in boxes ready to be put into albums! I just never get around to it. I love to craft with my little ones, but very rarely for my own 'fun'.

Happy scrapbooking! I come and read your blog often. I am in Venezuela, but will be relocating to Paraguay so we will soon be "neighbors".

HOLA RITA!
I just stopped for a few minutes over at your blog. Wow! Thanks for showing us the "ink belly" photos. Chile went through all of that 37 years ago. I hope there are enough people who remember.....
My husband has a burden for Paraguay, he went there last year on a missions trip to a place called Mbuyapey.
Blessings to you, and protection from the Father!
