Dealing with Disapointment

How do you deal with disapointment? People we trust to lead us, fail us. People we believe in let us down. Being in the Ministry, we often find out about other pastors who fail in their personal lives to such a degree that they forfeit their ministries and often forfeit their families.
We have been bombarded lately with discouraging news of friends and aquaintances, and I am disapointed. I am so idealistic sometimes. I truly expect those around me to be everything they should be.

Thank you Jesus for being Absolute. You are Perfect and unchanging. Everything you allow in my life is good for me. I trust you. I will not allow myself to be swayed by disapointment. I will continue to pray for my brethren. I will trust you to protect them and keep them from sin. Lord, may I never be a source of disapointment to anyone, for your Name's sake. May your Name be glorified in my life, and speech, and even in my blog. Help me to encourage others to holiness, as I strive for holiness myself. Keep me from self-righteousness and hipocrisy.
I love you Lord.

Amen Sis. Rhonda!! I have to remind myself often when I hear of someone that has fallen or has gotten out of the race that it could very well happen to me. Yes it is disappointing...but God reminds me every time that they are human just like I am and that they can give into the devices of self and Satan just as easily as anyone else. We must take that disappointment and turn it into prayer on their behalf. Disappointment is a bushel that will hide the light that God wants to shine from our lives. Don't let it hide your light...Love you Sis!!

Yes, I always remind myself that when we become Christians we still are humans and those that go into teaching or other positions in the church are still human and can fall into temptation.

You're very right that we must never become self-righteous.

Thanks for the reminders.
