Why, you ask? Well, one of the things I really like about blogging is the interaction, the comments.
Now that I have blogrolls, I think I am saving time by visiting all my blogs in one place, but I've noticed that if I want to leave a comment, I have to go to that blog anyway. So, what is happening is that I am not commenting as much. Not that my opinion means all that, but if I can offer a word of encouragement, then I should. I also crave your comments. If I wanted to journal all by my lonesome, I would have gotten a regular paper journal.
I'm not getting rid of my blogrolls, but I will take the time to say "howdy there" once in a while!

You know I was checking out the 'Hidden Art of Homemaking' message board and noticed that you wished for a nice piano. I wish we were near each other because I have one that I would give you....but I would imagine trying to ship it to Chile would be very cost-prohibitive!
I know what you mean about comments. I've found that, if a post moves me enough to comment, that it only takes me a few seconds (ususally!) to pop over and leave a comment. Whatever suits you best is what you should do!

I didn't care too much for the blogroll or bloglines thingy. I thought I would like it but I didn't for the same reason you don't. I just wasn't willing to admit that I didn't. So many others do. I guess my pride got in the way a bit...till I found someone else who agrees with me...LOL!
Oh I love it. I am subscribed to many and it's so easy to see which have been updated and which haven't. I look and the ones who have posted new I click on the blue link in the view window and go and read the posts on the actual page, then I can post.
